How do you Discuss??

We discuss about various things in our work place. People have different models to have these discussion . I always have 3 models when I sit for a discussion .

a)Hitler Model : we all know ​Hitler was known for his dictatorship attitude. now this model says I am the leader. i say and you listen. pretty much one-way communication I am sure many of us have problems with this kind of model.(you’re going to tell why) so we come across the next model

b)Consulting Model : more than a healthy discussion . 1 leader is surrounded by multiple employees. he talks to each employee and each of them responds back only to him. pretty simple but; again, its much like a one on one discussion .

c)Group Discussion Model: Now, the same is a little complex model but a good one. Leader talks to each employee and employee respond back not just to the leader but also to other employees . a healthy conversation with one another Now, this will lead to 3 things. they Teach They Learn They Decide.

What do you have on your walls??

Somewhere i saw the daily prompt asking to write a post on the things which we have on our walls .

well there are few things which i never want to remove them from walls like :

My family collage photo frame : it has so many photos of all my family members and friends . so many memories from childhood to recent days are so beautifully captured and made a collage . this makes me happy seeing it .
The more I see it the more I feel loved and blessed to have such a wonderful life with so wonderful people around me.

Photo Frame of my Awards : there are couple of  certificates of appreciation i have on my wall which ,when i look at it makes me feel proud and realize my potential within .

Lessons of Life : In one of the corners i have this Fabulous posters with some Quotes on it which keeps me inspired all the time .This Keeps changing .you feel having positive energy around you reading those quotes.

A daily checklist in some corner:

I have this checklist just to ensure everything is OK before i leave to my office . another way of ensuring my electricity bill doesn’t give me a shock this month . haha 🙂 you can judge me on my methods but it helps me.

How i started Blogging

I started this journey of blogging around 3 years back. I was a popular blogger in my organization where there were internal blog sites and I was named as “Most informative Blogger

But when I started I dint know what topics to write on. and I say serial love stories , photography blogs , fiction blogs were  floating around and if I selected these genre I would have been yet another story teller in huge crowd .

Then I thought I aint a crowd follower but I had an urge to share some valuable much information which no one did there. And I had this interest in personal finance

I started to share my thought on Money Management. I was initially criticized, made fun of, I got sarcastic comments and there were only 2 to 3 people who would show interest.

But I did not stop there. I kept sharing and gradually over a period of 45 days people started liking it as it was much valuable information I was providing which was helping them understand their cash flows , investments , savings , risk factor So on and so forth .

I used to get responses like this:

@Sup, at this age I think you should enjoy life.. Not to worry about financial details…

And I simply used to reply

“Thanks. I do enjoy as well as I’m responsible enough to meet a many financial and personal goals.. If not me, who else will support me reaching that
I enjoy present also and I keep myself secured financially for a rainy day also”

Sometimes there were heated up arguments on my methods and their thought process. But as days passed on, people started liking my post, my Ideas.

I did blog about lot of other topics as well. Every time I blogged I got wonderful response and gradually I became a little more popular.

Now that I wanted to share was that It was a fruitful decision of starting a blog and my organization gave me certificate of achievement and awarded me “Enterprise Blogger of the year”.

So this is it . keep writing Keep sharing .

Blog traffic??What’s your SEO trick

Many people look for SEO tricks to get traffic.. A huge traffic. They expect to get 100,000 hits overnight .it simply doesn’t work that way

The best techniques I learned .
Concentrate on the content . a good content and an nice title generally pulls the crowd .
Do not write lengthy article ,say almost 3 pages long. I prefer content of about 200 words usually which conveys good meaning
Sometimes a photo with a message is good to have . people run out of patience reading lengthy posts.
You wanna get comment, leave a comment
Comment on the posts which you feel worth reading. By comment I don’t mean just commenting as “good post” , share ur thought on the subject . and also be open to receive comments. Don’t close conversation by simply saying “thanks”
Respond back with ur thoughts on their comment

Organize your post
Categorize your blogs properly. Put them under group which they belong to
Add  tags to increase visibility while searching

If you are on social networking sites like Facebook ,Twitter then share it on them so that all your friends will get to know your post

Well this is a gradual process and do not expect an immediate success

Are you doing the right Job ??

We all know how to manage own work and achieve our immediate goals
But what adds more value to the business is achieving bigger goals and meeting organization’s objective effectively.  
Here are few things I observed recently.
A)      People don’t like their job. We have heard this lot of time, people telling “I Don’t like what I’m doing in my ODC but still I’m not quitting this job cuz at the end of the day I’m Paid and I need Money to meet my demands, to pay bills.”
B)      People are demotivated for “n” number of reasons like continuous reprimands from managers, No recognition for all the efforts put in .. So on and so forth.
c)       People are unaware or ignorant about the trainings which could improve their soft skills. Be it a Business communication, Building a rapport with their customers, Team Building & collaborative working etc like the CHRD(corporate human resource Development) sessions which was recently organized in my organisation.
Beyond all these we have one thing in common . i.e Passion .
Identify all those things which you love to do and think Is there something you do better than most other people you know?
Ask yourself are you ready to compromise your dream, your aspirations, career objective and long term goals and stay in the job you don’t like ?    
I have seen set of people who aren’t really sure what they want.
People have Lots of Plans on their career objective but they fails to put it into Execution mode J Now, you have to act on it.
Get over criticism .once you have a clear vision; people may tell “You’re not qualified”. It is your job to explain you are the potential aspirant and how optimistic you are about achieving it with exhibiting all the skill-set you have
Believe and share with your managers how to make a difference in your current Projects and help in Maximizing the Profit.
Be an excellent Team Player There is no room for a “me first” attitude in the workplace. Collaborating within and outside the team to achieve shared Goal would make much of difference .
Finally I leave you with the thought : what happens if you think Once I’ve completed my work, I’ll walk around my ODC(offshore development center) and ask my  team mates if there is anything i can do to help them complete the task ?

three things in my journal

I remember few years back there was lot of challenging phase I encountered when I started my career as software professional.

I was finding it hard initially to cope up with work pressure and to maintain a balance between personal and professional life.

But one thing I always did was read. Read lot of books. I read Robin Sharma’s book “who will die when you cry”

Inspired by that what I did was to maintain a diary / Journal. And I keep writing in that .

And what do I write?? Here are few things

I know we all have this smartphone. but for me this works the best .

I write target dates of completion, and hit a tick mark as and when I complete. I have tried all the best possible to-do apps in android but for me paper works the best

Well some people feel maintaining 1 app is better to have book lost or paper scattered. Left to them.

  • Good Thoughts:

I love writing good quotes. and keep referring them as it gives me motivation sometimes .

This keeps me inspired .

  1. Lessons I learnt today:

This is one of the important things I do before I sleep. I will write the best thing which I did today

The next I write the lessons I learned today. May be good experience, may be bad. I feel without making mistakes you will never grow

I think of what’s the opportunity I can find in every challenging situation I face and what’s the missed opportunity that I could have utilized today.

So these are 3 main things I write in my journal . This has helped me significantly in my career and in my personal life.

Energy Sucking succubus around us

We come across so many Energy Vampires. Often People around us who drain our energy. Whose presence makes us feel sudden adrenaline rush in the head. unpleasant feeling surrounds your mind . I have experienced plenty of people who have been an energy vampires in my life. Eventually I have started moving away from such people. old memories spent with them do haunt us occasionally but gradually I’m trying shift my focus towards better paradigm shift . I don’t say run away from Problem . but being around them too much might inject negativity in your mind.

Somebody said “surround Yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher “So true.

there were times when I had people around me who with reckless , ruthless. they used toxic language, they complained.

but still had to interact with them for few obvious reasons. but then I realized it wasn’t really necessary to talk to them either for they only bring your morale down , and nothing really positive happens in your life except Every thought leaves you with a frowny face .

I just stumbled upon this nice quotes by Robin Sharma -> “if you’re  not lifting other’s up, don’t bring people down”.

Life has so beautiful things to offer. so good memories to remember , plenty of finest opportunities to take you to pinnacle. but then if we keep roaming with these vampires would we be able to enjoy these wonderful things? think about it
