Take control


from last couple of months, I feel I have been downed in the valley of flaws.

Lots of negativity surrounds me.

I was so contaminated by the sick thoughts of few people around me

But then I felt … when life is all about DIY (Do It yourself) strategies

Why give someone else power to choose the way I be happy?

Why blame someone and become weaker.

Yes, I understand some people do not understand the language of politeness

But why react in an aggressive manner and shoot up my blood pressure and give them a reason to ridicule me

Let me take control of my emotions, my life and be powerful.

  1. What an excellent post! You can teach ourself to stay calm Sup it takes many steps but you wanting to do it is a great place to start! If you can back away from the toxic people even better sometimes that is not possible but you can train your brain, as I like to call it, to see past their ways. I work on this every day in myself! πŸ™‚ Take back your power!! that is what I like to hear!

      1. My mind you to be filled with negative thoughts you know…i started to shut them down by each time they would come to me I would immediately say ‘No!’ and I would say it right outloud! Put an end to them right as soon as they start…it was my first step and really worked wonders for me personally. I wish you all the best! πŸ™‚

      2. another good one for me and I use this almost everyday…when someone pisses me right off I instantly smile to myself and just say ‘Im glad Im me!’ right out loud to hear it in my own voice haha sure maybe someone might hear me but I dont even care. what they think of me is not as important as my own mental well being haha!

      3. sometimes if you simplify things which isnt easy to do when you are feeling low and no one knows that better than I do but really I just learnt to bottom line it all for myself and the bottom line always comes down to ‘Im glad Im me!’ hahaha! πŸ™‚

      1. Yes dude they leave some impact…but then again enjoy the impact cause surely it’s going to vanish one day…like we are going to vanish one day…have experiences of every bit in life…then it’s negative or positive impact.. ☺

  2. Quite inspiring and relative in today’s World , every other person is going through such thoughts and later to take a step and control him or herself. Nice thought Surpreet ,it’s all mind frame and game if we can control our emotions nothing can beat us .

      1. But the man made the way will always be same , a person like me can’t stay away effecting self ,for a while or atmost a week I can think I will not react but ultimately reaction comes, with double the anger .. that’s y I said it’s easy to say but not to control

  3. I can resonate with this post so well. The wisest thing i could do in such situations is just to cut off from them wisely without saying anything and any kind of explainations, and maintain my peace of mind by forgiving them also.

  5. I oscillate between the two. At times, I feel like calling people out and other times keep quiet – why create a scene, like you said. But when I look around, we have become so apathetic!! Not speaking up is toxic in such cases…. but then again. So is taking up other headaches. I am still deciding.

    1. See .. It becomes difficult at times and we keep oscillating between to react or to keep quite. But I have certainly reduced falling into arguments that doesn’t result in anything ..
